It is suitable for the protection of shareware and relatively low-priced commercial software. Chain SA comes with no licensing server. The authorization/activation of the products depends on the exchange of profile data and key data by e-mail or other possible means. This means you do not have to set up a licensing server, but its protection is inevitably weaker, in some cases, than that of Chain Web which utilizes a licensing server (see features page for details). To make the protection stronger, you can choose lease-type licensing which requires end-users to renew their keys at certain intervals (e.g. 1 year). This product is currently under development.
